John F Applebee

The first year of the new millennium marks the 30th anniversary of John's life as a professional software developer. After obtaining a BS in mathematics in 1967, John stayed on at Rollins college to complete a BA in behavioral sciences and participate in directed study in math with a visiting professor.

While in graduate school at Emory University, he earned an MS in mathematics as well as a post-graduate certificate in computer science from the Honeywell Institute of Information Sciences in Atlanta. His first position was with the A.C. Nielsen Co. as a programmer in the national television ratings division. In 1974, John moved to Dallas and spent 14 years developing systems for a variety of companies and gained experience with general accounting, oil and gas, transportation, inventory and many other computer systems, mostly on IBM mainframes.

In 1989, he moved to Florida and became the third employee of a new company known as Smith, Gardner and Associates. During his 10 years with SGA, he was primarily involved in the design and development of the Ecometry\(MACS) catalog management system. John currently heads up the product development area here at HEI.

Taylor Lumpkin

Taylor Lumpkin founded Hire Experience following seven years of work at Smith-Gardner & Associates where he was one of the original core associates. Prior to SGA, he was the Vice President and General Manager for Year One, Inc., the leading catalog for classic car enthusiasts.

Having understood the need for quality consulting and programming services to users of (MACS)Ecometry®, Mr. Lumpkin founded the company based upon the principal that we only want to treat our clients as we would expect to be treated ourselves. We have lived on both sides and bring a unique perspective that we think you'll find a refreshing pleasure. All of our associates are only the best people with a minimum of 5 years experience.

All of our developers have extensive knowledge of (MACS)Ecometry® and most specialize in particular areas. Our consultants enjoy traveling and working with clients. You know, when you're doing what you like, it doesn't seem like work.

Eileen Noland

Eileen attended the University of South Florida and the University of Louisville earning a BA in Computer Technology in 1981. Upon graduation she worked for eight years as a HP3000 programmer at IPMC/MultiVest, an investment firm dealing with the precious metals market, and had a brief stint at Jan Bell, a jewelry company that was also an HP3000 shop.

With eight years experience in Cobol on the HP3000, in 1989 she joined the original core design and development team at Smith-Gardner and Associates (now the Ecometry Corporation). She was employee number 8. Over the next eight years, Eileen worked on many things at SG/Ecometry, including the creation and maintenance of programs that many of you are familiar with such as Laser Print, Order Pick, Pick Lots, Credit Card Management, Warehouse Backorder, etc, etc....

In 1997 she left SG/Ecometry to spend more time with her family, and to do a little contract programming. In early 1999 she joined Hire Experience, bringing with here those valuable years of experience that she earned at (MACS)/Ecometry. Eileen is currently a senior developer and project manager here at HEI.

Mary Stuart

Mary's experience with the HP3000 system spans almost 20 years. She began her HP3000 career at the Developmental Marketing Group in Oxnard, California back in 1984 where they ran the BSA Prophit/Premiere system, which was originally developed by the principles at SG/Ecometry back in the 80's.

In 1987, Mary joined Acxiom-BSA, now MorTech, as an Installation Project Manager and was there for five years, where she helped over 35 companies in the US and Europe to convert data, implement or re-implement direct marketing systems, train users and document both system and work flow procedures.

In 1992 Mary began consulting directly with clients as an independent consultant, working with many clients of BSA Prophit/Premiere on HP3000's, including Apple Computer and Epson America. Mary joined Hire Experience as a Consultant In 1998. With her vast experience on BSA Prophit/Premiere she was able to immediately adapt her previous life knowledge to MACS/Ecometry. Mary is currently on staff here at HEI as a Consultant and Project Manager. She also continues to do her own direct consulting.
